HOW THE AQUAPHOR JASPER FILTER WORKS Activated carbon from coconut shells absorbs harmful impurities from tap water like a sponge: chlorine and its compounds, petroleum products, and other toxins. It clarifies the water and improves its taste and smell. Aqualen retains heavy metals from the water (mercury, lead, copper, arsenic), which are often found in tap water. Rust, sand, sediment, or other coarse particles do not clog the filter, thanks to the fine granules of activated carbon combined with Aqualen fiber, which creates billions of channels for the water, similar to plant roots in soil.
